Madrid let two leave

Real Madrid have allowed defender Derik Osede to leave the club, while midfielder Sergio Molina is set to join Stoke City.

Writing on his personal Instagram account, Derik confirmed he was leaving in search of “a new adventure” but thanked Los Blancos for allowing him to experience “the best moments of my life”.

The 22-year-old, who recently switched his international allegiance from Spain to Nigeria, has been heavily linked with English Championship side Bolton Wanderers.

He was also Zinedine Zidane’s third captain for Madrid Castilla and featured in several senior squads last season without making an appearance.

In addition, Molina has successfully undergone a medical at Stoke, according to AS, and could complete his move next Thursday.

The 19-year-old has been at Madrid since 2005, but his last match ended in disappointment as he missed a penalty in the Juvenil A team’s 2-1 Copa del Rey Juvenil final defeat to Rayo Vallecano.

Considered one of the club’s most promising young midfielders, Molina is now expected to join fellow Spaniards Joselu, Bojan Krkic and Marc Muniesa at the Britannia Stadium.
