Escudero agrees Sevilla move

Getafe full-back Sergio Escudero has agreed a four-year contract with Sevilla, according to Marca.

The 25-year-old has been linked with a move to Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan in recent days following Getafe President Angel Torres’ admission that he gave the Andalucians permission to speak with the player.

Negotiations have since ran their course and Escudero will join Sevilla for a reported €2.5m, pending a successful medical, next week.

Escudero is expected to play second fiddle to Benoit Tremoulinas at left-back, although the Frenchman’s career has been plagued by fitness issues of late.

The former Schalke starlet scored twice and laid off as many assists in 30 appearances for El Geta last season.
