Toni Kroos has claimed that he made a “perfect decision” in leaving Bayern Munich for Real Madrid last summer.
The Germany international helped his country lift the 2014 World Cup and subsequently earned a high-profile transfer to Los Blancos, and he believes the future is bright for him and his teammates, despite a debut season devoid of any major silverware.
“We were at the door of two trophies [last season],” he told reporters upon announcing a foundation for sick and terminally-ill children.
“We have a team who aspire to win everything. It would be great to win something here.
“My decision to go abroad and join Madrid, especially after winning the World Cup, was perfect, and I remain 100 percent convinced of it.
“I’m glad about how the first year went and I’m established in the team now, but I hope to win trophies in the coming years.”
