Neymar ‘not affected’ by fraud allegations

Barcelona’s Neymar insists he has not been affected by fraud allegations against him from the Spanish judicial system.

The Brazilian star has been dragged into an investigation that also includes his father, old club Santos and Barca President Josep Bartomeu.

The 23-year-old starred in the Blaugrana’s historic treble winning season last term. However, since the allegations he was involved in a brawl after the final whistle of Brazil’s Copa America defeat to Colombia.

Following his head-butt on Jason Murillo and kicking the ball at Pablo Armero, he was subsequently banned from the remainder of the tournament in Chile.

“The problem with the justice system didn’t affect me,” Neymar insisted in an interview published by Mundo Deportivo.

“These things happen off the pitch. I think that if justice occurs, everything will be fine. We were really saddened by the events.

“They have been burdening us with this for quite some time and it is annoying, but we will resolve it.”
