Rodrigo Caio has reportedly passed a medical ahead of potentially signing for Atletico Madrid.
AS claimed this morning that the Rojiblancos were interested in signing the Brazilian from Sao Paulo, and official confirmation of the deal now appears to be close.
The midfielder’s move to Vicente Calderon caps a remarkable u-turn of events, which saw Valencia seemingly agree a deal to sign the 21-year-old, only to pull out at the last minute.
“Let’s wait and see,” Caio’s representative Deco told reporters when questioned about the developments. “At the moment, he has passed the medical.”
