Barca to meet Juve for Pogba

Mundo Deportivo report that a meeting is scheduled to take place this afternoon between Barcelona and Juventus over midfielder Paul Pogba.

The French international has been the subject of much transfer speculation this summer, with several of Europe’s elite clubs thought to be interested in securing his services.

Now, the Spanish daily claim that talks will take place today in Milan between Blaugrana and Bianconeri officials, with the Catalan giants expected to formally confirm their intention to sign the 22-year-old.

Manchester City, PSG, Real Madrid and Chelsea are named as other clubs said to be pursuing Pogba, but the report states that Barca are leading the race.

Furthermore, they are prepared to wait until next summer before bringing the player to Camp Nou, allowing the young star to remain with the Old Lady for one more season. This is an option said to be preferred by both Juve and Pogba, who does not want to risk being unsettled before the European Championships in 2016.
