Barcelona presidential candidate Agusti Benedito has branded the sale of Gerard Deulofeu and reported pursuit of Paul Pogba as a “scandal and an outrage”.
An executive board are currently handling the day-to-day running of the club, but their role in transfers has come under fire from candidates, who believe they should not have had the authority to negotiate the forward’s departure to Everton and Frenchman’s purported arrival from Juventus.
“We’re proud to nominate four women onto our board, which is a representation of Catalan business,” he was quoted as saying by AS.
“It’s a scandal and an outrage that the [current] executive board can make decisions on Deulofeu and Pogba.”
