The Greek media are reporting that Real Sociedad striker Alfred Finnbogason is close to joining PAOK on a season-long loan.
AS cites reports which claim that the Salonika outfit will pay La Real €1m to borrow the Iceland international’s services for 2015-16, with the opportunity of negotiating a permanent transfer before June 30 next year.
Although the Basques do not expect to recover the €7.5m they forked out for the 26-year-old last summer, they will not accept taking a significant hit on their initial outlay.
However, they are not ready to completely discard Finnbogason just yet as they believe a loan move could help him rediscover the form he showed at Heerenveen and return to Anoeta better for his experiences in Greece.
