Valencia have lined up Phil Neville as a potential assistant to Coach Nuno Santo, according to the Mirror.
The Portuguese is looking for a new No 2 following the departure of Ian Cathro at the end of last season, and the English newspaper claims the former Manchester United defender could be waiting in the wings.
Nuno has reportedly requested a high-profile appointment ahead of Los Che’s return to the Champions League, and Neville, currently a pundit for the BBC, may fit that bill after working under David Moyes at Old Trafford in 2013-14.
Neville made almost 700 appearances for United and Everton in his playing career and represented England on 59 occasions, appearing at three consecutive European Championships between 1996 and 2004.
