Las Palmas have announced that Paco Herrera will stay on as Coach next season after agreeing a one-year extension.
The 61-year-old became only the sixth trainer to lead the Gran Canarians to La Liga last week, when he guided the club to playoff success over Real Zaragoza on away goals.
His previous deal was due to expire in the summer, but the freshly-promoted side have confirmed on their official website that a renewal has been thrashed out.
Herrera will be joined by assistant Angel Rodriguez, fitness coaches Rafa Cristobal and Jesus Suarez and goalkeeping coach Zeljko Cicovic in the top flight.
He will also reacquaint himself with former Liverpool mentor Rafa Benitez, who was recently appointed Real Madrid’s new Coach.
