Conflicting reports on Ramos?

There are conflicting reports on Sergio Ramos, with Marca claiming a pact between the Real Madrid defender and Florentino Perez and AS stating otherwise.

The 28-year-old has been linked with a move to Manchester United after reportedly growing frustrated with Los Blancos’ refusal to publicly deny claims made by Barcelona presidential candidate Jordi Majo that he had been offered his services, along with a purported stalemate in renewal talks.

According to Marca, however, President Perez has attempted to make peace with Ramos by calling him on the recommendation of his right-hand man Jose Angel Sanchez.

Ramos is understood to have made it clear that he still wants out of Madrid, citing recent events and broken promises which have left his position at the club untenable.

Nonetheless, Perez reportedly tried to defuse the tension by reassuring him that they would speak again once he returned from his holiday next month.

Ramos is now believed to be calmer about his future and thanked the patron for reaching out to him, although Marca reiterate that the stopper feels as though as he no choice but to leave Madrid, despite his sorrow.

AS, on the other hand, claims that Madrid have slapped a €90m asking price on Ramos’ head in response to a reported €50m bid from United that was swiftly rejected.

The newspaper, like Marca, goes on to state that Ramos has demanded the club listen to offers from elsewhere, but Madrid will not be prepared to do so unless they receive a sizeable bid.

However, David de Gea will not form part of the transfer, as previously reported, the goalkeeper instead being lined up for separate negotiations.
