Inter, Barca to swap three players?

Reports in Italy say Barcelona and Inter are discussing a series of transactions involving Alex Song, Martin Montoya and Mateo Kovacic.

Mundo Deportivo cites Corriere dello Sport’s claim that Ariedo Braida met with Inter counterpart Marco Fassone to discuss Kovacic.

The Catalan daily questions if that is the case, suggesting Braida was only in Italy to speak to Juventus’ Beppe Marotta about Paul Pogba, but note claims from the peninsula that say Inter made their terms for selling Kovacic clear.

They are said to want Song, who has returned from a season-long loan at West Ham, and Montoya, if they are to give up the Croatia starlet.

The suggestion is that the signing of Geoffrey Kondogbia and Joao Miranda has left Inter needing to sell to conform with Financial Fair Play rules, and so would give the go-ahead to Kovacic’s departure as a result.
