United: €30m & De Gea for Ramos?

Sergio Ramos is said to be ready to leave Real Madrid and Manchester United will offer €30m plus David De Gea for the centre-back.

AS reports De Gea’s brother and agent, Rene Ramos, first spoke to representatives of United in an April meeting in London and as Ramos grows unhappy at Santiago Bernabeu, United are ready to move.

They would allow goalkeeper De Gea to return to Spain and pay Madrid €30m for Ramos, taking the total deal to a value of between €70m and €75m.

Ramos would be offered a contract of €12m, twice what he is currently paid by Madrid.

United don’t want to sell De Gea but are willing to exploit Madrid’s desire to sign the Spain international in order to prise Ramos away.

No direct contact has been made between the clubs, AS add, with everything thus far conducted between third parties.

United first moved to establish Ramos’ situation in April, meeting with Rene Ramos, and officially informed the player’s representative of their interest.

Ramos was not so disillusioned with life at the Bernabeu at that point but he is said to have grown unhappy with much of the recent goings-on at the club.

He has also been learning English for the past few months out of fear he could be forced out of Madrid as other high-profile players have been.
