Zaragoza 90 minutes from Primera

Real Zaragoza are 90 minutes from returning to the Primera after a 3-1 win over Las Palmas, coming from a goal down.

Jonathan Viera gave the Yellows the lead at La Romareda, scoring after 19 minutes, but goals from Diego Rico, Pedro Sanchez and Willian Jose turned the match around.

The sides will on Sunday meet at Las Palmas’ Estadio Gran Canaria with the winners joining Real Betis and Sporting Gijon in the top flight next year.

Las Palmas Coach Paco Herrera said after the match that his side wouldn’t give up the chase despite the deficit, while Zaragoza scorer Pedro warned against complacency.

“We have to believe in the comeback. Of course we can do it,” he said, Marca reports.

“We were the complete team in the first half, we played good football and had chances. After that it was more even. We weren’t the same team in the second half.

“We made unusual mistakes and the fault is mine. We have three days to lift our spirits.”

“We haven’t achieved anything,” Pedro added from the victorious side.

“There are many turns. We have experience from the semi-final. They are a great team, they have a great team.”
