Osasuna cash used in match-fixing?

The judge investigating a €2.4m hole in Osasuna’s accounts has said almost €1m of it may have been used for match-fixing in 2013-14.

Mundo Deportivo reports a statement from the Pamplona court which alleges €250,000 was paid to Espanyol to ensure a draw in their match in the penultimate round of games.

Real Betis are alleged to have received €650,000 in two separate payments – €400,000 to beat Real Valladolid and €250,000 to lose to Osasuna.

AS note that there is a separate investigation into what was done with a further €3m by former President Patxi Izco.
