Tottenham want Casillas, Bartra?

Reports from England claim Tottenham Hotspur are planning a double swoop on La Liga – for Real Madrid’s Iker Casillas and Barcelona’s Marc Bartra.

The Independent says Madrid are expecting an offer from Spurs for their captain, which would help pave the way for David De Gea to succeed Casillas at Santiago Bernabeu.

It’s also suggested that Tottenham’s current first-choice goalkeeper, Hugo Lloris, will replace De Gea at Old Trafford, although other reports say Jasper Cillessen is close to leaving Ajax for United.

The same publication also claim interest from White Hart Lane in Marc Bartra. The Barca centre-back recently hinted he could leave Camp Nou for €12m and that is said to have caught Spurs’ attention.

However, Barca are thought to dispute Bartra’s interpretation of the terms of his contract, while sporting director Ariedo Braida has publically called for Bartra to stay.
