Juan Bernat has heaped praise on Spain teammate Cesc Fabregas for being “an example to all young players”.
Speaking alongside Fabregas at Friday’s Press conference for the Euro 2016 qualifier against Belarus two days later, the 21-year-old felt the Chelsea midfielder was the perfect role model for players in his age bracket.
“[Cesc] is an example for all young players. He’s spent many years in the national team,” the Bayern Munich left-back said.
“As I don’t understand much German, I don’t know if there’s talk of the national team in Germany, but La Roja deserve to be respected.
“[Vicente] del Bosque and [Pep] Guardiola ask for similar things from me. They both want me to bring the ball forward from deep.”
