Enrique non-committal on Barca

Luis Enrique has refused to confirm whether he will remain Barcelona’s Coach following Saturday’s 3-1 victory over Juventus in the Champions League final.

The Asturian Coach marked his first season in charge of La Blaugrana with only the second treble in the club’s history, following on in the the footsteps of his mentor Pep Guardiola, but he admitted he still had not made a decision on his future after the Berlin spectacle.

“The truth is that I haven’t made my decision [on whether to stay or go] yet,” he told Canal+.

“It was our 70th game [of the season]. We’ve won 60 of them and rounded off a historic year [with the treble].

“It wasn’t easy [to accomplish this feat], so I’m grateful to the people who have trusted me [alluding to former sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta] and thought I could do a good job. I dedicate it to them.

“I never imagined we’d win all three trophies, but you try to do your job the best you can. With these players, you’re always closer to success.

“These players and the club don’t get tired of winning. We have to savour the present and have a good summer.”
