Espanyol have signed Lucas Vazquez from Real Madrid after a successful season on loan.
AS reports winger will cost Espanyol a total of €2m, paid in instalments, with the first part of the fee, some €500,000, due in July.
Espanyol on Wednesday confirmed to Madrid they wanted to exercise the option to make the loan permanent, although Los Blancos hold the right to re-sign Vazquez until 2017.
Vazquez’s Espanyol contract runs until 2019 and made 39 appearances for Los Periqutos in the season just ended, scoring four goals.
It has been rumoured that Liverpool were monitoring his situation before Espanyol sealed the transfer.
