Rulli rules out La Real exit

Geronimo Rulli has pledged his loyalty to Real Sociedad next season after rejecting reported interest from Valencia.

The Argentine goalkeeper had recently been linked with Los Che after they lost Diego Alves to knee ligament damage, but he insists his future lies at Anoeta, having reflected on his debut season in San Sebastian with delight.

“I’m very comfortable at La real and my future is still there,” he told Info Pincha.

“They’re a very well-run club with great facilities, and I’ve settled in very well.

"Beating Barcelona was a dream that I’ll never erase. Confronting and overcoming [Lionel] Messi’s team is something that I’d only ever seen on PlayStation.”

Marca claims Rulli has already signed an extension to his loan deal with La Real, but his parent club – and bridge for third-party investors – Deportivo Maldonado have yet to do so.

However, this is expected to be a formality, now that the 23-year-old has made his commitment to the Basques public.
