Former Liverpool forward Ryan Babel has jibed that Rafa Benitez “will make Cristiano Ronaldo a great defender” if he becomes Real Madrid’s next Coach.
The Dutchman did not always see eye to eye with the Napoli boss when the pair worked together at Anfield between 2007 and 2010, and he warned the No 7 that he could grow unhappy with the trainer’s methods.
“Benitez on his way to Real [Madrid]? He will make Ronaldo a great defender,” the 28-year-old, who now plys his trade with Turkish club Kasimpasa, wrote on Twitter.
