Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has admitted that Barcelona are “almost unbeatable” ahead of the Champions League final next month.
La Blaugrana are considered by many media quarters to be favourites for the June 7 showpiece in Berlin, and the goalkeeper is aware of the difficulties facing the Old Lady if they are to defy common perception.
“Barcelona are almost unbeatable,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
“We know they’re stronger than us, but the best team don’t always win. You have to be better [than your opponents] on the night and get lucky too, of course.
"It’s clear that the final will be very difficult, but we have what it takes to play in the best way possible.
“If Barcelona play at 100 percent then obviously it will be [more] difficult.
"We’re in the final and will play our cards. We have a lot of pride in us after everything we’ve achieved in recent years.
“We know how strong Barcelona are, but we’re growing in optimism by the day.”
