Dani Alves will reportedly hold a Press conference next Tuesday to announce his departure from Barcelona after failing to agree a renewal.
The right-back’s camp looked to have made a U-turn on their initial quit threats, but Cadena SER believes he will proceed to take the same route as Xavi Hernandez by confirming his exit in front of the world’s media.
Talks over a contract extension recently took place, but with no agreement reached, the expiring Brazilian will now prepare for his final three games in a Blaugrana jersey, starting with Saturday’s visit of Deportivo La Coruna in La Liga.
The likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United have been linked with Alves, who turned 32 earlier in May, while Barca cannot sign a replacement until their transfer ban is lifted in January 2016.
However, they are believed to be keeping tabs on Torino’s Matteo Darmian via their international sporting director Ariedo Braida.
