Chiellini: ‘Suarez? Nothing personal’

Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini says there will be no problem when he comes face-to-face with Luis Suarez in the Champions League final.

The Italian, who will be up against Suarez for the first time since the infamous biting incident at the Brazil World Cup, insists that the battle to contain him in Berlin on June 6 will be nothing personal.

“As I said last week, I don’t have any problem with Luis Suarez,” the 30-year-old told reporters.

“It’s only been a week since we knocked Real Madrid out and people only ask me about him.

“I’ll be marking Suarez just as I did [Karim] Benzema. I’ll do the same with [Lionel] Messi as I did with Cristiano Ronaldo, while Neymar will get the same treatment as [Gareth] Bale.”

Juve are chasing the treble this season and next stop is the Coppa Italia, where they face Lazio in the final, and it is a trophy Chiellini stressed was important to the club.

“This final is special because we haven’t won the competition for 20 years.

“Since I’ve been with Juve we’ve only played in one final and we lost. We really want to win this one,” he maintained.
