Diego Simeone congratulated Barcelona after Atletico Madrid handed over the League title to the Catalans.

“The crowd reacts individually. I congratulate the champions with great applause.
“It’s good for them to be champions after they couldn’t be last year. We lost to a genius in Messi.
“We’re still three points above Valencia. In 50 years we’ve won two titles. We have to work hard. We’re fighting to be third, trying to compete with the weapons we have.
“But the reality is still the domestic competition with Valencia and Sevilla. Anyone who reaches the Champions League will deserve it.
“We’ll wait until the end of the season to rate it…like in school.”
