Jemez open to Premier League

Rayo Vallecano boss Paco Jemez has admitted that it is a case of when, not if, he will one day take charge of a Premier League club.

The Coach is expected to move on from Las Vallecas this summer after three years at the helm, and he refused to rule out England as his next destination, amidst speculation linking him with the potential vacancy at Newcastle United.

“I’d like to experience [the Premier League]. It’s another way of living football,” he mused to Marca.

“At the moment, it’s booming, especially economically, and it allows you to bring in high-quality players, which weakens its rivals and strengthens it.

“However, I still think [La Liga] in the best League in the world.

“[I’ll move to England] when there’s a team that presents itself which I like the feeling of and believe I can achieve something important with them.

“The issue is when [not if], but for now I’m very happy in Spain. However, if tomorrow or in three years I have to take my suitcase then I will.

“I’m not afraid of challenges. I’d like to work in England one day [before I retire].”
