Enrique won’t commit to Barca

Luis Enrique admits he has not yet made a decision on his Barcelona future ahead of Sunday’s title decider against Atletico Madrid.

La Blaugrana are only three games away from being crowned treble winners this season, with the trip to the Vicente Calderon a repeat of the previous campaign’s final round, which saw Atleti secure a shock La Liga triumph with a 1-1 draw.

However, the Coach’s position remains uncertain in light of Barca’s upcoming presidential elections, and he maintains he will not commit himself to the club until he deems it necessary.

“I haven’t seen any spirit of revenge from my players,“ he said at a Peess conference.

“Atletico were deserved champions [last season] and had a spectacular and unique season.

“However, this season has been totally different, so there’s no spirit of revenge in that sense.

“For us, it’s our first chance to win the title [this season]. That’s enough of an incentive.

“We know we’re on the verge of something that’s only been done once before in the club’s history.

“We’ve had great difficulty getting here, but the players are aware and very realistic.

“We realise we need to finish the season with the maximum intensity if we want to achieve results.

“It’s a great game because it gives us the opportunity to win a very difficult title. We have a very good chance.

“I always decide my future on the basis of what I think. I’m not in a hurry and I haven’t been obliged to make a decision yet. I’ll do so at the end of season.
