Manuel Pellegrini has dismissed speculation that reported Barcelona and Real Madrid target Sergio Aguero could leave Manchester City this summer.
There had been reports that the former Atletico Madrid striker would be courted by both Clasico giants in the coming months after another prolific season with the former Premier League champions.
Nonetheless, the manager – who is facing questions over his own future – is adamant that the Argentine will not be going anywhere as he does not consider City to be a selling club.
“I don’t think so because we are not a selling team and I think that Sergio is very happy here, so he doesn’t have any intention to go,” he was quoted as saying at a Press conference by BBC Sport.
Aguero was part of the City teams who lost to Barca at the Champions League last-16 stage in 2013-14 and 2014-15.
