Iniesta ‘doesn’t care about’ Clasico final

Andres Iniesta has insisted that he “doesn’t care” about who Barcelona will face in this season’s Champions League final.

La Blaugrana reached their first European final in four years after they held on for a 5-3 aggregate victory over Bayern Munich in the last four on Tuesday, despite losing 3-2 on the night.

The result increased the likelihood of an all-Spanish encounter involving Barca and Real Madrid, who play Juventus on Wednesday, but the midfielder refused to entertain the thought.

“We knew they’d press from the off, but we scored two goals in the first half to give ourselves peace of mind,” he said after the game.

“They improved in the second half, but we can celebrate the fact we’re in another final. We’ll now try to finish what we started.

“It’s always different every year, but this year’s been good in every way. We’ve beaten some very strong opponents and are close [to being successful this season].

“We’ve achieved our aim of reaching the final. I don’t care about who we get in the final.”
