Alaba: ‘We’ll beat Barca 4-0’

Bayern Munich defender David Alaba has fanned the flames ahead of the Champions League semi-final second leg against Barcelona.

The Germans have launched a campaign of optimism as they look to turn round a 3-0 deficit from last week’s clash at the Camp Nou, while Alaba pulled no punches as he looked forward to Tuesday’s game.

“We’ll win 4-0 and I hope I’m fit enough to play in the final in Berlin,” the 22-year-old told reporters.

Alaba was absent from the first leg with a ligament strain and will again miss out at the Allianz Arena.

Fellow defender Medhi Benabia also declared himself confident Bayern are capable of turning things around in front of their own fans.

“It won’t be easy but whoever doesn’t believe we can do it would be better off staying at home.

“We’ve got a great team and we can score lots of goals at our stadium. We’ve already proved that,” commented the Moroccan.
