Kroos doubtful for Juve?

Toni Kroos is reportedly a doubt for Real Madrid’s Champions League semi-final second leg at Juventus after he was forced off against Valencia.

The midfielder landed awkwardly from a duel with Andre Gomes and tried to shake off his knock but requested to leave the pitch after just 23 minutes at the Santiago Bernabeu, with Asier Illarramendi replacing him.

He was also seen clutching the back of his left leg while receiving treatment, leading to fears he sustained a hamstring injury, and his Coach Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that to be the case in his post-match interview.

Kroos, who has made 52 appearances for Madrid this season, will undergo medical tests on Sunday to fully determine the extent of his setback, but it is being speculated in the Spanish Press that he is a serious doubt for Juve next week.

Los Blancos have endured a miserable campaign on the injury front, with the likes of Sergio Ramos, James Rodriguez and Karim Benzema spending extended periods on the treatment table.

They are also 2-1 down in their last-four tie with the Old Lady, although they have an away goal to their advantage.
