Moyes happy with Barca record

David Moyes is pleased to have taken three points from a possible six against Barcelona this season after Real Sociedad lost at Camp Nou.

Moyes was newly installed at Anoeta when La Real beat Barca in January but La Blaugrana recorded a 2-0 win in the return game, with Neymar and Pedro Rodriguez on target.

“I would have liked to be closer to scoring. It’s not only my team but most teams come here and find it difficult,” the Scot said after the match, AS reports.

“They have great style and great players. We created problems for them in the first game and we wanted to do it again.

“If at the beginning of the season you’d have told me we would win three points out of six from Barca I would have taken it.

“Pep Guardiola was brave and admirable with how he tried to wrest control from Barca and not be defending for 90 minutes. Many Coaches around the world have tried to stop Barca doing harm.

“We were more aggressive in the last two away games. We’re better now in that regard. We’re better on the ball and we’ve improved the physical condition so we can go until the last minute. We leave with good feelings.

“It’s a step forward. We’re showing good intentions. Playing better isn’t just a challenge for us but for Bayern Munich and every team in the Champions League.

“We can’t underestimate the game we played against Barca, probably the best team in the world. We played the best we could under the circumstances.”
