Juve reject huge Barca-Pogba bid?

Juventus have rejected Barcelona’s opening bid of €80m for French midfielder Paul Pogba, according to Tuttosport.

The 22-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Camp Nou since Ariedo Braida’s appointment as sporting director earlier in the year, but the Italian newspaper claims La Blaugrana’s initial advances have been rebuffed.

This is reportedly because the Bianconeri have made it clear that Pogba is currently not on the market, but it remains to be seen whether they will change tact once the European transfer window reopens on July 1.

Additionally, Juve may feel they could squeeze a higher offer from another club, given the likes of Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea and Manchester City continue to pose an interest in the former Manchester United starlet.

Pogba missed the first leg of the Champions League semi-final between the Old Lady and Madrid but has returned to training and could feature at the Santiago Bernabeu.
