Line-ups: Juve-Madrid

Gareth Bale starts for Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-final with Juventus, partnering Cristiano Ronaldo in what looks to be a 4-4-2 formation.

It was speculated this week that Bale would be ready to return from his calf injury for the first leg in Turin, with Carlo Ancelotti having to choose between Isco and Javier Hernandez.

Isco gets the nod which is likely to see Los Blancos go with Bale and Ronaldo together, and Isco, Toni Kroos, Sergio Ramos and James Rodriguez across midfield.

It’s possible James or Isco could join Ronaldo and Bale, but reports from Spain on Monday said it was a straight choice between Isco and 4-4-2 or Hernandez and 4-3-3.

Iker Casillas captains the team from and keeps goal, with Dani Carvajal, Pepe, Raphael Varane and Marcelo in defence.

Juventus have Gianluigi Buffon in goal and go with a back four, not a back three, comprised of Stephan Lichtsteiner, Leo Bonucci, Giorgio Chiellini and Patrice Evra.

It appears Max Allegri has plumped for a three-man midfield of Claudio Marchiso, Andrea Pirlo and Stefano Sturaro, with Arturo Vidal supporting Carlos Tevez and ex-Madrid striker Alvaro Morata.

Fernando Llorente, the Spain international formerly of Athletic Bilbao, is among the substitutes.
