‘Madrid will do everything possible’

Toni Kroos has promised Real Madrid will do whatever it takes to reach the final of the Champions League, but isn’t looking past Juventus.

Madrid continue the defence of the trophy won against Atletico Madrid a year ago as they look to become the first back-to-back winners in the Champions League era.

“It’s clear our progression has gone well and we want to go step-by-step,” Kroos said, Marca reports.

“It’s an achievement to be in the semi-finals, among the four best teams in Europe, but we will do everything possible to be in the final.

“We realise that no team has won this competition twice in a row. To do so this year is our great goal, but first we have to eliminate Juventus.

“We’re well prepared. We have an Italian Coach who knows Juventus very well and I think he has prepared us well. They know how to defend and are quick in transitions, but we will adapt.

“I don’t let myself be put under pressure. It’s clear there is pressure to win games and trophies at this club but I don’t put myself under pressure because I’m convinced of our quality and mine.

“If something goes wrong I relax at home with my family. That’s where I feel better.”
