Athletic Bilbao star Mikel Rico says everyone is asking him for tickets to see the Copa del Rey final on May 30 – even his plumber!
The Basques take on Barcelona at the Camp Nou in the showpiece event with their fans having received an allocation of 37,500 tickets for the game, although the number wanting to travel to Catalonia is considerably higher.
“Everyone has entered the ballot to get tickets and I don’t know whether a lot of them are going to miss out on the big day,” Rico told reporters.
“Everyone has been asking me for one, even my plumber who has only been to my house once but sent me a WhatsApp message.
“Family and friends who are season ticket holders are also worried they will miss out,” he revealed.
