Torres: This derby will be different

Fernando Torres warned against predicting Wednesday’s Champions League semi-final second leg between Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid.

Atletico make the journey to Santiago Bernabeu after the first match between the sides finished goalless and, appearing at a promotional event, Torres was asked about this match in the context of others that have gone before.

“Every game has a different history, played one way. I think this will be different from all the others because of the first leg result,” he said, AS reports.

“I expect Madrid to be attacking, without going crazy. We have to be prepared to attack and defend. I feel more comfortable when we have a good defence and I have space to run into.

“Every game is important. I’ve been fortunate to play in the Champions League final, Europa League final, but with Atleti it’s different.

“I hope there are more important matches this year. I’ve always said my dream is to win titles here. I’ve played in more important games but none as special as this.

“I’m enjoying every day here. I’m happy with how things are going but I don’t want to settle. I want to play.”
