Nuno: Barca have weaknesses

Nuno Santo has challenged Valencia to exploit Barcelona’s ‘weaknesses’ when they lock horns at Camp Nou on Saturday.

Despite surrendering to a late Sergio Busquets goal earlier in the season, Los Che returned to winning ways against Levante last Monday, leaving the Coach optimistic about his side’s chances in Catalonia this weekend.

“I agree [that we shouldn’t fear Camp Nou],” he said at a Press conference.

“Playing at Camp Nou’s a challenge, so we must remember that we’re facing great opponents, but we’re hoping to compete and play well.

“We saw [Barca beat Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League] and have analysed all of their strengths.

“[Barca] had a great game, earned a good result and confirmed what we knew about them already.

“They’re a great team with very good players, all of whom are in a very good run of form.

“[Barca] don’t have many weak points, but they still have some. We must try to exploit their weaknesses, even if they have less than others.

“Here at Mestalla, we did pretty well and had a balanced game, but as a team we have to be constantly focused, especially during times like these.

“[President Peter Lim and I] had a meeting and also had dinner [on Thursday].

“He likes to be on top of club matters, so it’s important that we regularly discuss the project, but these are private conversations, the contents of which I won’t reveal.

“[Regarding Jose Luis Gaya’s renewal], these issues are private.

“Since the start of the season, the players have built respect for each other and shown strong desire. We’re all ready for what lies ahead.”
