Neymar: Everyone had a great game

Neymar declined to single out any Barcelona player after the 3-1 Champions League win over Paris Saint-Germain. ‘The whole team was great.’

The Brazil international opened the scoring in Paris before Luis Suarez claimed a brace, giving Barca a commanding lead ahead of a second leg Neymar insists will still prove decisive.

“I’m very happy with the game,” he said after the final whistle, Mundo Deportivo reports.

“Suarez scored two goals and had a great game. Not just him, but the whole team.

“We knew we had a great attack in our team with quality players and we had to find space and we achieved that.

“But there’s still another 90 minutes in which we will have to do the same thing as we did [on Wednesday].”

Neymar was also asked about his apparent unhappiness at being substituted against Sevilla at the weekend.

“I always want to play. I like being on the pitch but that’s happened. We must move forward,” he replied.

“The important thing is we had a great game today.”
