Suarez: Barca needed intensity

Luis Suarez pointed to Barcelona’s intensity as a key factor in their 3-1 Champions League quarter-final win over Paris Saint-Germain.

Suarez claimed two second half goals, adding to Neymar’s first half opener, as La Blaugrana established a commanding lead ahead of the return leg next week.

“We went out concentrating from the first minute. We knew we had to come out with great intensity,” Suarez said after the match, AS reports.

“We shouldn’t underestimate the work of PSG. We ran a lot and they had important absentees.

“In football you never know what can happen. They have a lot of quality and we have to be aware that the game isn’t over. The second leg will be a beautiful game.

“A striker is always looking to find the goal and I had two very good plays. I had to do the nutmegs. Our three forwards can occupy three positions and we’ve been alternating so that’s why my goals came from the right.”
