Luis Suarez scored twice as Barcelona took a commanding lead from the Champions League quarter-final with Paris Saint-Germain.
Neymar scored early in the half after a neat pass from Lionel Messi, finishing past Salvatore Sirigu with consummate ease.
It was two in the second half when Suarez beat David Luiz, Marquinhos and Maxwell before toe-poking past Sirigu at the near post.
Sirigu didn’t even get that close with Suarez’s second, Barca’s third, having been left exposed by some sloppy defending in front of him.
Gregory van der Wiel got on the score sheet when Jordi Alba’s clearance fell nicely for him and beat Marc-Andre Ter Stegen via a deflection.
Martin Montoya came in from the cold to replace banned Dani Alves at right-back while PSG were forced to go without Marco Verratti and Zlatan Ibrahimovic through suspension and Thiago Motta due to injury.
PSG started content to sit deep, let Barca pass and then break, with one well-worked move freeing Blaise Matuidi down the left. He pulled the ball back for Javier Pastore, but the Argentine completely missed his kick.
Lionel Messi almost showed his compatriot how it’s done when he was given space to collect Luis Suarez’s pass on the edge of the area, turn and shoot, beating Sirigu but striking the post.
Neymar netted with almost Barca’s next attack when PSG gave up possession too easily, and Messi again found space, this time to play in his teammate, Neymar making no mistake.
PSG were deprived of their captain immediately after as Thiago Silva left the field to be replaced by David Luiz before Neymar almost conjured a second goal with a mazy dribble.
Edinson Cavani had PSG’s best chance of an equaliser, beating Javier Mascherano to a near-post cross, but his effort was easily fielded by Ter Stegen.
Luis Suarez robbed Luiz on the edge of the PSG area and shot for goal, Sirigu dealing with the attempt but appearing to hurt himself in the process, though he was able to play on.
It was Ter Stegen the first goalkeeper called into action after the interval, having to fend off a dangerous dipping effort from Pastore.
Barca lost Andres Iniesta soon after thanks to a knee in the back from Pastore but it didn’t disrupt their night too much, with Xavi Hernandez looking good in his cameo.
Suarez settled the match on the night just after the hour mark, beating three of the PSG back four on his own, while at the other end Ter Stegen was equal to a fierce Edinson Cavani drive.
Messi almost capped matters with a goal that would surely have won FIFA’s Pukas award for goal of the year, dancing through the PSG defence before shooting high and wide.
Suarez did cap it with his second and Barca’s third, again almost walking past Luiz and finishing emphatically past Sirigu.
PSG got some respectability back with Van der Wiel’s late effort, beating Ter Stegen via a deflection from Jeremy Mathieu, but Barca were able to see the game through without their advantage being eaten away any further.
