Malaga to negotiate for Amrabat

Malaga are set to open negotiations to make Nordin Amrabat’s loan deal at the club into a permanent arrangement.

The Andalusians have an option to buy the Moroccan international for €3.5m from Galatasaray but are hoping to talk the Turkish outfit into lowering the figure.

According to Hurriyet newspaper, officials from the Costa del Sol outfit are due to arrive in Turkey this week for talks, while Galatasaray have said they will consider Amrabat’s future in the summer.

The 28-year-old has been in impressive form with Los Blanquiazules this season, scoring five goals and providing four assists in all competitions, and signed for Galatasaray for a reported €8m from Kayserispor in 2012.

Galatasaray are set to hold their presidential elections in May, which could determine whether Amrabat is sold or will become part of next season’s squad.

According to TalkSport, both West Ham United and West Bromwich Albion are also interested in the player.
