Lazio ace on Barca radar

Lazio midfielder Felipe Anderson has emerged as a possible Barcelona target, according to Sport.

The Brazilian has turned in a string of impressive performances this season, scoring 11 goals in all competitions, and it is understood he has been watched by Barca’s head of scouting Pep Boada on a number of occasions.

The 21-year-old arrived in Italy from Santos for a reported €6m almost two years ago and has a contract with the Serie A club until 2020, although Ariedo Braida, who currently heads Barca’s transfer committee, denies the Catalans are interested in securing his signature.

“There is nothing in it. Newspapers say a lot of things and Barcelona follow 10 players every day. At the moment Felipe Anderson is not a player we are following,” he claimed.

Atletico Madrid and Manchester United are also believed to be monitoring Anderson’s situation and could make a move this summer.
