Jan Oblak highlighted the importance of Atletico Madrid’s clean sheet against Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-final.
The game ended 0-0 thanks in large part to Oblak himself, who made a number of fine stops, most notably from Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez.
“I feel good, like the whole team. We worked hard in a tough game,” he said after the match, AS reports.
“The return leg is next week and we’re feeling good.
“Of course you always want to score and win but it’s important not to have conceded a goal at home.
“I don’t know about favourites. Madrid have a great team with a lot of great players. With a 0-0 we’ll see what happens in the next game.
“Marcelo [suspended for the return] is a very good player but Madrid have options to replace him.”
