Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani is relishing playing Barcelona again in the Champions League, describing it as a ‘privilege.’
The Uruguay international was part of the PSG side that rivalled Barca in the group stage, recording a 3-2 win in France before going down to a 3-1 defeat at Camp Nou.
“[Playing Barca] is a major challenge,” Cavani acknowledged when speaking to AS.
“Barca are one of the biggest teams in the world and it’s always a privilege to [measure yourself against them].
“We did so in the group stage and we beat them, playing great football. That was a big step in the group, together, playing well, beating one of the favourites for the Champions League.
“PSG is a big club that continues to grow in Europe. We’re in an advanced stage of the competition so we must be attentive to the movement of Barca. Of course, we’ll try to play our football. PSG have personality.
“[Lionel Messi?] He’s one of greatest players in the world.”
