Iniesta: No time for drama

Andres Iniesta has played down Barcelona’s failure to see out their 2-2 draw with Sevilla in La Liga on Saturday.

La Blaugrana went 2-0 up inside the first half-hour at the Sanchez Pizjuan, but a goal from Ever Banega just before the interval, coupled with Kevin Gameiro’s late equaliser, turned the match on its head as the League leaders dropped two points in the title race.

“We had a very good first half, but towards the end of the first half, we slowed down a bit and they had more presence,” the midfielder said after the game.

“In the second half, they went up a notch and we tightened up, although we had chances to make it 1-3.

“The point is that we’re still leaders and have one week less to analyse what we’ve done. We’ll continue improving and we won’t dramatise this draw.

“[The Sanchez Pizjuan] is a very difficult venue to win at. We did very well in long spells, but they took their chances. We could’ve scored another goal but remain positive.

“We must always be positive and be confident that we’ll progress [beyond Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League quarter-finals]. There’s no doubt about that.”
