Barcelona have reportedly begun talks with Jordi Alba’s agent over a long-term renewal for the left-back.
The former Valencia defender, 26, returned to Camp Nou in the summer of 2012 on a five-year contract and has impressed sufficiently to bag himself a new deal in the process.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Barca have already spoken to Alba’s agents Jose Tarraga and Vicente Fores, with the intention of extending their client’s terms beyond 2020.
In other news, Alba has been given the green light to face Sevilla on Saturday after missing La Blaugrana’s last two games with an injury sustained while on international duty with Spain.
