Morata rules out Madrid return

Juventus striker Alvaro Morata has seemingly ruled out the possibility of re-joining Real Madrid any time soon.

The Spaniard continues to be linked with a move back to Los Blancos, who retain buy-back clauses, after impressing in his debut season for the Bianconeri, but he is only thinking about paying back the faith instilled in him by his employers.

“Juventus are a family of champions. I’m not interested in Real Madrid,” he explained to Tuttosport.

“One thing which surprised me when I arrived at Juve is that no-one in the dressing room felt more important than others, even those who have been world champions and are living legends in football.

“Here, everyone eats with each other and leads a normal life. For me, it’s been amazing to have a conversation with [Gigi] Buffon and [Andrea] Pirlo.

“I’m also delighted with how they’ve thrown me a hand with anything and helped me so much.

“It’s not normal in a large squad. That’s is the strength of Juventus, we’re not a squad of individuals. We’re men who play and fight together.”
