Romero rues late Depor show

Cordoba boss Jose Antonio Romero was left to reflect on Deportivo la Coruna’s late equaliser in the 1-1 draw at Riazor.

La Liga’s bottom club went ahead on 55 minutes through Romanian striker Florin Andone, only for the same player to put through his own goal three minutes from time.

It left Romero to rue the fact that his players are not assertive enough due to the negative dynamic in which they have been immersed of late.

“We are victims of a lack of firepower and showed no determination,” he told reporters at a post-match Press conference.

“The reward from this game was not commensurate with the work we put in and we are dissatisfied and very hurt.

“Everything was in our favour but where there’s still life there’s hope,” he added defiantly.
