Enrique: Not an easy game

Luis Enrique insists Barcelona didn’t have it easy against Almeria after recording a 4-0 win and discussed Neymar, Xavi Hernandez and Dani Alves.

The victory ensured La Blaugrana remained clear at the top of La Liga and, speaking to reporters after the match, the Coach commended his side on their display.

“We won the match with the intensity we showed,” he said, AS reports.

“It wasn’t an easy game and our intensity was good, even if we’re not fresh. We’re strengthened to go to Sevilla.

“Tempted to replace Lionel Messi? No, I wasn’t. Neymar, he’s the only one who didn’t get a rest with his national team so I called Pedro Rodriguez who was in the best possible condition.

“Sergi Roberto was sensational and if he gives that performance it’s because he trained to his fullest.

“Xavi? He has the affection of all Catalans and any football lover. I’d like him to continue helping us but I understand he wants other experiences. Whatever he chooses will be good for Barca.

“Alves? I have no news about his contract.”
